That depends on which blood test IGG or IGM and results of both.

It would be a good idea to have a consultation with one.

The problem is if the baby/s bone marrow becomes suppressed as a result of the infection. This causes a stoppage of the production of red blood cells and severe anemia in the fetus. This can leaad to heart failure and death. It can be treated by giving the baby blood in utero, if needed.
