Most likely. This is one of the reasons that we quit doing mediolateral episiotomies 25 years ago. Now there is a resurgence of them because of the incidence of fecal incontinence following midlines that extend into the rectum. Having another baby may not make it go away either. There has to be some scar tissue there because that is how tissue heals, by forming scar. RDB
