Re: Sex during labor?

ROFL!!! i personally dont believe i would have any problem having sex during labor (labor was not painful for me) although i would think the contractions would be a bit distracting as they were what i was concentrating on.

i have heard this about the prostoglandins but i am not sure there are any studies to back this up. i have lots of anecdotal stories that appear to support the idea that sex can help start labor. i have read several birth stories where women either brought themselves to orgaasm or had husbands do it which they said helped ease the pain of laor. i have also read a couple of books and many birth stories that liken the labor process to the sexual expereince. i will probably get weirtd reactions to this from people but my c-sec after 24 hours of labor was very very much like having great sex and having no orgasm. i had all this energy building up and moving through me and there was no relase.

i would offer one note of caution to you: never ever put anything (penis or otherwise) into your vagina once your water has broken. this can cause infection.
