Yep! Prostaglandins are among the natural class of chemicals found in semin that are often effective in inducing labor by softening or "ripening" the cervix. Many hospitals use synthetic prostaglandins in the form of gels, for example, for the same purpose. If your overdue, the "natural" method is always worth a shot!
