anonymous, I think you misread my post on the miscarriage and no bleeding part. The doctor did a pelvic exam and told me I miscarried from JUST a pelvic exam. When I told him I have not bled he said that I could have just had a strange discharge and that would have been everything. He said I could have FULLY miscarried with just a clear strange discharge. That is not accurate. I knew all along about missed abortions and that if I didn't bleed that it would still be inside me. I was well aware of that. When I brought this up to him and the need for a D&C he told me, "You do not need a D&C because you fully miscarried and there is nothing left inside you". I knew this had to be wrong because I had not bled and he knew that and I know you have to bleed in order to expel everything and if you don't then chances are I would have needed a D&C. With that said, the doctor I saw was crazy. To tell me I fully miscarried and all I would have had was a clear/strange discharge with no bleeding is absolutely absurd. Do you understand better on why I said the doctor, in my case, was crazy? He wasn't telling me I had a missed abortion, he told me I fully miscarried and sent me home saying "Your period will start in a week". He said there wasnt even a chance that it was a missed abortion. He got all this from a pelvic exam. I'm sorry for your loss. dawn
