Discrepancy on dates.. early pregnancy.. Worried..From: Ann (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 21 Jun 2000 12:40:56 -0500 (CDT)
I am currently pregnant with my third child. By dates I should be 9.5 wks but at my first prenatal yesterday the dr said I felt only 6-8 wks and scheduled me for an ultrasound to check it out a week and a half from now, opted to "hold" any other testing until my next appointment. I have never encountered any difficulties before during pregnancy and am kind of worried (cried all day yesterday). As far as I can tell, I can't be much less than 8.5 wks because of positive HPTs on 5/11 and 5/12. My LMP was 4/17 and it was my first cycle off of Ortho TriCyclen so I can understand that I might have ovulated late in the cycle but if I am that early in the pregnancy how could I have gotten a positive HPT that early? Any input appreciated as I am only going to drive myself nuts for the next 8 days. I am still having my "normal" symptoms: frequent nausea subsided by eating anything (more frequent and quick to return unlike previous pgs), headaches, frequent urination and clear to pale yellow mucousy discharge (had this with all pgs). Thanks.
