Question for doc.'sFrom: Alesha (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 21 Jun 2000 10:42:24 -0500 (CDT)
I am in my 22nd week. I went in for an U/S at 18.2 weeks, and the tech said she couldn't get a good look at all and to come back at 20.4 weeks. I did and she did get more readings but still said she had a difficult time and wasn't able to get "everything". The baby was moving itself into hard to read areas. So my husband and I left there feeling confident evrything was fine, the tech said everything she saw looked fine. the dates compared etc. then 2 days later I get a call from my ob saying that the U/S looked beautifeul BUT......the perinatologist(im guessing) want's to do a follow up U/S because the maternal tissue was thick???? I was assured there was nothing wrong, is this normal practice for you doc.'s at the forum? Or does the request of a 2nd U/S indicate a problem? By the way I am 6 feet and weigh 185 lbs so does my larger size give the baby more room to hide??
