There is some fluctuation in heartrate, and some margin of error with ultrasound measurements. 103 is lower tahn average, but not an indication that anything is wrong. If I got a report saying hte heartrate was 103 (or 207, or anything much different from the 120 - 160 range) I'd repeat the ultrsound in a week or two -- but for my paitents with miscarriages in hte past, I usually do an ultrasound in my office every week or two anyway, just to reassure them (I have an open door, come in aanytime you need reassurance policy for my patients with multiple miscarriges; it's only fair as , after 2 miscarriages, I scanned myself every week when I was pregnant with my daughter!)
