Bleeding at 25 weeksFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 11 Jun 2000 12:48:11 -0500 (CDT)
I am approx. 25 weeks pregnant. Yesterday morning I noticed a bright red blood clot on the tp after I wiped. Over the next couple of hours I had some very light pink mucus, but other than that no other bleeding. This happened to me about a month ago and I went to the doctor. They did a visual exam and could find no evidence of bleeding and said my cervix was closed and long. My MFM doctor told me that sometimes woment just bleed and that I didn't need to worry about it unless it happened again. Well it's happened again, but I seem to be fine. (I have contractions 2-3 times an hour for a few hours then they go away and I am having problems with severe nausea and vomiting again, but no other preterm labor problems. I am being seen by a MFM doc because I have SLE which is being controlled by prednisone and baby aspirin.) I had an ultrasound on Friday and the baby was growing well and I had an appropriate amount of amniotic fluid. Should I report the bleeding to my docotor? If so, can I wait until my next appointment in two weeks to talk about it or should I call Monday? Is there I reason I should be bleeding in the second trimester?Thank you for your insight.
