Nausea and Vomiting following UTI/Kidney InfectionFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 8 Jun 2000 20:13:39 -0500 (CDT)
I have been home from the hospital for a week now after a being treated for a kidney infection and possible stones. I am slowly starting to feel better, but I am still having terrible nausea and vomitting--I pretty much throw up everything I eat. I know I must be doing something right and staying moderately well off because on Monday I didn't have any ketones (sp) in my urine--although I have lost about 6 pounds. Anyway, today I got really sick, as usual, after eating dinner, but when I threw up it was florescent yellow and very bitter. I imagine this is bile, but I am wondering if it is dangerous or worrisome? Should I call my doctor or is it just because I have been throwing up/not eating to avoid throwing up for so long? I am sorry for being so graphic!
