I have a 7 month old. Everytime he has gone in for his shots he devolops a black dot where the needle went in. They show up about 3 weeks later after the skin from where it was injected has healed. He also has on his head from where they monitored him while I was in labor a black spot with blach hair growing out of it. He now has 4 black spots on his right leg and 2 on the left. His doctor has never seen this before and does not know what is causing this to happen. We tried Tylenol and icing the legs down for an hour before and an hour after the shots but it did no good. I will be taking him back to the doctor on Monday to talk about it but I have no idea what I should ask. I have never seen this before or heard of it so we seem to all be at a loss. I have been told that I should ask to see a dermatoligest (sp?) but I don't know if that is what we should be doing. It seems to me that this a reaction of some kind to the needles. He is a light color hair and skin and I really don't want him to grow up with these spots all over his legs with black hair growing out of them. Has anyone ever seen or heard of anything like this? Any of the other mother hear ever have any thing like this happen or doctors? I am at a loss and don't even know where to look online for information since I don't know what to even call it. Any info would help greatly. Thank You
