Many OB's will do many ultrasounds in pregnancy. When we first started to use it 30 years ago, we were worried about it. Multiple studies have been done, none of them have shown any evidence of ultrasound causing any harm to babies. Dr. Lyons in Canada, did a study where he followed up 11000 babies who had had an ultrasound and 11000 who had not. He could detect no diference in those babies when they were 11-12 years old.
