I'm not sure what the exact odds are, but to be safe, you should always use protection. Not just to prevent pregnancy but to prevent sexually transmitted diseases. Granted, it is both your first times. I've heard where people have had sex a week before ovulation, and have gotten pregnant. This could be because the woman ovulated early. Never take any chances like that unless you are ready to be parents. Good luck!
