I also had a amniotic fluid embolism.I to had emergency c-section under general anethesia. I all of a sudden could not breath, babys heart rate dropped to 20 beats per minute.
My neck, face and both hands turned blue very fast and I was
very swollen. My blood tests showed my fibrogen level was very high. Does that confirm the embolism? I was told I was ready to bleed out, whatever that means. My baby has a mild case of cp now from the lack of oxygen. Can you please answer those couple of questions for me. I was also told it is a maracle that I am here today to tell about this terrible ordeal. Ann, I'm right there with you with all the emotions mixed up inside our minds thinking about it all the time and knowing how very lucky we are to be here. What a scary thing to go through. Thanks, Dena
