7 weeks pregnant and prescribed CronineFrom: MaryJ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 May 2000 09:06:15 -0500 (CDT)
Just received call from doctor that my blood test came back positive (wanted to get the official blood work done and not rely on the 3 hpt's that I took!). Anyway, they said that my progesterone level was 8.8 and at this time in a pregnancy they like to see it at a level 10+. They prescribed Cronine which I will pick up tonight at the pharmacy and that I should be using it once at night. Am I at high risk for miscarriage? I am soo scared right now!! Is 8.8 terribly low? I feel great - no cramping, nausea etc. (only sore breasts) They suggest that I take the cronine and come back on June 14th (2 weeks) for full checkup. Shouldn't they take me sooner to check that my progesterone is increasing? Please share your thoughts or experiences. This is my first pregnancy. Thank you, MaryJoan
