We have the same understanding here...best not to get sick in America (not that medicine is behind the times lol) unless you have travel insurance for at least $1. We also have basically free dental care too....very low cost for fillings etc and checkups are free. We complain a lot about our system here....but I realsie no system is perfect :) Its amazing how many americans I meet online and even on honeymoon in FL last year who think Ireland is a backward country with little leprachauns running about all over the place lol.
