ALL RIGHT!!! Congratulations! Go ahead and give your doctor a call, and schedule an appointment. Different doctors will have different protocols for when they want to see you for the first time, generally between 6 and 12 weeks after your last period. I would just continue with the multi-vitamin with iron until you see your doc.

In my office, the first visit consists of a sit-down meeting in my private office, during which we would discuss pregnancy in general, yours in particular, your medical history, general philosophies of prenatal care and delivery, followed by a complete physical exam in an exam room. Depending on circumstances, I may or may not do a U/S at that time as well. Of course, there is also lab work to be drawn as well.

Good luck!
