By definition, if you're not progressing in dilation, you're not in
labor regardless of how miserable you feel. Unless there were a medical
reason, no one induces at 3 weeks early in case the baby's lungs are
immature (unlikely). We used to give Morphine to knock out such painful
episodes. Now, it more natural (no therapy). See if your doctor can
suggest anything for pain relief til the big day comes.
