Echogenic focusFrom: Alison (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 19 May 2000 09:39:29 -0500 (CDT)
I am 29 years old and 18+ weeks pregnant with my first child, a boy. At my ultrasound this week everything appeared exactly normal except there was an echogenic focus in the left cardiac ventricle. My AFP results gave me a 1/1700 chance of Downs, and my doctor tells me this raises my chances only to about 1/700 of having a Downs child. Any further information or suggestions for reading about this would be greatly appreciated, as it has me very worried. Thank you.
