Thank you for your >time. Ann I have seen two patients with Amniotic Fluid Embolism. They both died. You are very lucky. AFE usually occurs with no warning and cannot be prevented. If the AFE occurred, then the baby's heart rate dropped etc, because your lungs were not oxygenating well at that time, then the AFE did indeed cause this. RDB
