Without looking at a growth chart, 14 pounds at 4 mo. sounds pretty reasonable. Regarding the spitting, I can speak first hand having a four month old at home who seems to spit up every thing we feed him and more, this is not unusual unless he is not gaining any weight. Regarding the not growing as much as earlier, babies go through growth spirts and their eating is reflective of these periods of growth. Another issue is the fact that he is having more bottle feedings I presume since mom is beginning the transition from the breast. This can increase the amount of air ingested by the baby so it is important to be meticulous with regard to "burping" the baby every 3-4 ounces. If you don't do this, I guarantee he will spit up and up and up... If the concern is significant, I would just give the pediatrician a call... Lynn
