Cloudy urineFrom: Ami (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 14 May 2000 10:15:51 -0500 (CDT)
I am currently in the 14th week of pregnancy. I have currently had no problems with my pregnancy and all tests given thus far have indicated no problems. I am concerned that in the morning when I first urinate I pass cloudy urine. Otherwise, throughout the day, my urine is clear. I drink mostly water and lots of it. I have no symptoms of a UTI but have heard that this could be a symptom. I have also read that Vitamin D can cause urine to be cloudy. Of course I take a daily prenatal vitamin as well as calcium with vitamin D per my MDs instructions. I am wondering if I have any reason to be alarmed. I don't typically have a problem with UTIs although many years ago I did have a severe one so I do remember the symptoms. Should I be concerned. I go to the MD in two weeks and will mention this information to him then unless this indicates a more troubling problem. Thanks for your help. PS: Prior to becoming pregnant I took calcium + Vitamin D every other day and never had cloudy urine although I did notice that when I didn't drink enough fluid my urine might be stronger in color than when I drank more fluids.
