4 mth old spitting up formula/and rice cerealFrom: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 12 May 2000 07:23:52 -0500 (CDT)
Hello My sister's baby just turned 4 mths old...she has been trying to very slowly wean him from breastmilk....has given him (1 feeding per day) breastmilk mixed with a little formula...that was at 4pm yesterday...and yesterday before his 7pm feeding gave him a little bit of rice cereal to try. He was spitting up most of it for hours afterwards...and has been doing this ever since she introduced the little bit of formula about 2 weeks ago...she said that she can see a tinge of another color in the spit up (almost pink or peach??) Do you have any idea why he cannot adjust to taking the formula and cereal...her friends have babies about the same age (a few weeks in the differences) and they are feeding their babies all kinds of things with no problems (including pudding of some kind!?!) Please help...by the rate he is going she will never be able to go back to work...and she is wondering if maybe there is something wrong with his digestive system? Thanks
