Hi! I am currently about 13 weeks.I am not sure if it is thirteen weeks today or weds or thurs.Anyways,I have had a bad bacterial infection for a few weeks. I had been on bedrest for spotting.She heard the heart beat today it was faint but beating normal.So she said she can treat the infection. She also said my cervix is a little softened but closed she said it could be from the infection or it could be trying to open.She put me on Flagyl.It says on the paper not to use during first three months and use with caution last three months. 1.>>Is it safe at 12 weeks4days-13 weeks not sure what I am? also 2.>>Why is my cervix softened am I going to loose the baby?? And about my urine..It is really orange she dipped it and said two things were really high.3.>>>What does this mean? Im sorry about all the questions..Iam trying to get over the fear something will happen.I am also on aldamet for blood pressure.....Please respond soon One more question........... She said the heartbeat sounded like a boy...Why is that?Is that true or a wifes tale.On the ultrasound a nurse told me she thought it was a girl cause of how active it was.Why is that?Im confused...Stacey
