I am 31 weeks now, been on mod bedrest for effacement/funneling the past month or so. I was having very frequent B-H's since Thursday and was sent to L&D yesterday for evaluation b/c of bloody discharge and suspected dilitation. It was confirmed that I had dilated since my last app't last Wednesday. Eventually I was sent home with no meds b/c I hadn't dilated any more while there. I guess my whole problem is just an irritable uterus. I was still having the same B-H's every five minutes when I left. But I am a little confused now as I was told "pelvic rest" by (one of the many!) residents. Does pelvic rest mean the same thing as modified bed rest? Complete bed rest was never checked off on the discharge sheet, but pelvic rest was circled in a different paragraph. Minimal activity was checked off as I would have expected. Thanks,
