I don't have personal experience as this is my first pregnancy but this happened with my best friend's daughter. Her's "just happened." The Dr. told my friend it would heal on its own and is very common. Apparently it has. The baby is 10 months old a seems to have suffered no long term effects. My friend said the only way to tell initially was that she would cry if you picked her up a certain way and that only lasted a couple of weeks. Otherwise, she was/is a happy normal baby. I hope this helped. -Sarah
