Yes, other than the transient effects of a drop in blood pressure, a spinal will not harm the baby -- and the effects of a drop in blood pressure that is appropriately recognized and treated with fluids, etc will cause no harm to hte baby either.

You'll have to ask the orthopedic surgeons about this -- from an ob standpoint, it's fine ot get the cortisone shot during pregnancy if it is necessary Any affect on >the baby?
