I need some help for a friend. She got what she thought was her period last week, so she started her Clomid on Day5. Her period was not normal however, so now on day 7 she took a hpt and it was positive. What are the risks of taking Clomid while pg? Will it cause a m/c? Thanks.

Rachel,

I had the freezing procedure done and wasn't warned of the possible consequences. I now have a stenotic cervix. The cervix is very narrowed. I am unable to get pregnant because the sperm can't easily get through to the uterus. I am now seeing an infertility specialist and will have an intrauterine insemination next week. Please check out the information on the web under stenotic cervix and cervical stenosis (ignore anything to do with the spine or neuro when looking under cervical stenosis.) You may need to have it done anyway but be informed. The diagnoses is made based on abnormal cells that are not cancerous but are abnormal and may turn cancerous in the future if not treated. It sounds like your first doctor was on the right track by prescribing vibramycin which kills a wide range of bacteria in the genital tract. It is often the bacteria which irritate the cells and cause them to become abnormal. In 6 to 9 months after treatment with the antibiotic the cells may return to normal. Your boyfriend/husband may be the source of the bacteria and would also need to be treated. If you have tried all of this and need the procedure done it will kill the abnormal cells which will grow back normal but you may end up with the same problem I have. I have read that there is a 30% chance of stenotic cervix. Good luck! Dawn
