Re: 35 Weeks

My Daughter was delivered at 35.2 weeks. She was very healthy and did not require any breathing assistance. I did however when things look threatening for early delivery have the steriod injections for lung maturity. Not every Dr will give them weekly, in fact in the majority of cases they are given only if delivery is likely to occur in 24-48 hrs. On the day we were to leave the hospital she was placed in the NICU for very high jaundice levels for one week.

On the down side my hospital roommate had her daughter at 35.4 weeks. Both our daughters weighed within an ounce of each other. Her daughter was vented for 3 days to aid her breathing. She did not have steroid intervention and her daughter also had jaundice issues.

Hope this helps
