nurse is doing everythingFrom: AMGG (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 7 Apr 2000 17:19:15 -0500 (CDT)
I am in my fourth month of working with a RE. I'm on 50 mg of Clomid, just had my first IUI and was just prescribed progesterone for the luteal phase. So far, I have only seen the doctor once--at my first visit. All of my other (monthly) conversations have been with the nurse practitioner, and even the IUI was done by the nurse practitioner. (The doctor was in, but did not see me.) Does anyone think this is a problem? I really don't know if it is, because my case has been pretty low tech so far. I just think it's peculiar that the doctor hasn't talked to me, and some of my friends are appalled. When would it become a problem not to be seeing the doctor (after six months, nine months, etc)? I go to a university hospital. Thank you.
