I am in my 7th week of pregnancy, and began spotting three days ago. I went to the doctor yesterday, and they checked my hormone level, and it was at 6000. I went in for an ultrasound today, both abdominal and transvaginal, and they could not find a fetal heartbeat. The doctor was not very helpful and did not seem very optimistic at all. I have another ultrasound in five days. My question is, is it still possible that it might have been too early in my case for the doctor to see the heartbeat? Could the fact that I have a tilted uterus had a part in this at all?
