I was not able to find out all that much about Paxil in pregnancy. It is category C, which means that there were adverse effects on animals and no studies available in women, or that there are no studies on woman or animals. It is excreted in the breast milk, and the use of Paxil has not been studied in a pediatric population. The use of Paxil should be made in consultation with your OB doctor, as well as a psychiatrist or pyschologist, to make sure that the benefits justify the risks, and that there is not something else that would be better.
