Beta 3 - FertilityFrom: Dawn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 3 Apr 2000 18:48:34 -0500 (CDT)
I am in the last stage of Endometriosis and because of that I do not produce good eggs. We have been planning to go with a donor, but just recently had an Endometrial biopsy to see if the Beta 3 protein was present. The results were negative, but now I'm being told that there are false negatives. And that some women do conceive without this protein being present. My doctor is recommending that they remove the chocolate cysts from my ovaries and then immediately start on the fertility drugs. I should also add that my tubes were removed several years ago (Hystosalpinx). My doctor does not feel that Lupron will do me much good at this point. Do you feel that the surgury is the best way to go or can you recommend something else? Thank you, Dawn
