Sorry, I havent heard of Minerva (are you in hte States?), but progesterone can be an effective treatment for endometriosis. Side effects of progesterone only devices like Norplant and Depoprovera include irrgular bleeding (30+ %), weight gain, headaches, moodiness, no periods (actually I consider this a benefit!). Your wife should talk to her doc about benefits, risks and side effects
