Incredibly difficult recovery/need for more medical help.From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 27 Mar 2000 09:37:30 -0600 (CST)
It is now almost six months after my wife and I had our first baby. The delivery was a particularly bad one (vaginal), and has left my wife feeling devestated both physically and emotionally. Physical problems still include: vaginal soreness (and feeling of bruising), pain sitting (we think she may have fractured her pelvis during delivery), pain in her hips (which seem to be differently alligned now), frequent and urgent need to urinate (bordering on slight incontenence) and (if I am remembering the terminology correctly), a certain degree of prolapse. We are working with an OB and a physical therapist, but nothing seems to help. We are desperately trying to figure out what else we can do and where we can turn. Are there courses of action we should be pursing? Is there a recognized leading medical center/hospital that focuses in this area? Any information would be appreciated.
