dear docs I suffered a partial thickness tear to my internal anal sphincter during childbirth. I am not incontinent of stool. However i do fear it getting worsrse. should i have surgery to correct it or just wait it out and see what happens. The colo-rectal surgeon thinks ishould havec surgery as it ciiukds cause problems when i get older--but the surgery has only fifty % success, what do you think? thanks in advance
