hemorroidsFrom: Christine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 22 Mar 2000 19:50:45 -0600 (CST)
I am a mother of 2 children. With the birth of my first child I had minor problems with hemorroids in the post partum period that basically resolved itself over time. 4 yrs later I was pregnant again and developed very painful protruding hemorroids that were so uncomfortable they caused me alot of discomfort especially while I was at work (I am on my feet all the time)starting at about 8 months into the pregnancy. Even though I watched my weight, ate well, drank lots of fluids and stayed active. Slowly over the postpartum period they have gotten better with minor flare ups if I am constipated. My husband and I are trying to decide whether another child may be in our future but I am fearful of the possible outcome another pregnancy may have on any hemorroid problems I have. Is this a complication that is inevitably due to get worse with each pregnancy? Any information would be appreciated,
-- Christine
