Actifed for Sinus - Always question!!!!!

I have just checked back through the forum a few days and am amazed at the response to the question about sinus and allergy symptoms (sorry I know this is old)

My advice - always always question. It is far better to ask a second opinion even on basic issues than sit at home worried about whether to take a drug or anything else. If I want a second opinion on whether the sky is blue and the grass green, and it will make my pregnancy less stressful and more peaceful then I will always ask and I make no apology for that.

I am sure some of my questions are pretty basic but its better to ask them here than be looking too silly in the OB office. We all accept that OBs do not do their training so that they can hurt babies but never the less mistakes are made when patients give them too much control and they can become complacent in some circumstances. I am sure doctors prefer patients who are informed and ask questions - it takes the heat off them and places responsibility in the patients hands - where it should be to a certain degree. We are all in charge of our own health care and while its a fine line between being informed and being a right pain in the butt, its important to get the balance right.

Keep asking and keep those professionals on their toes (nice look)

Olivia
