i can only tell you my own experience. i had a c-sec on a thursday night and was released on sunday afternoon. i did not have narc. pain killers. i had pain. it was difficult to sit up or walk and i didnt drive for 4 weeks. it was 'do-able' pain. nothing close to the kidney stones i passed six weeks later. my labor was not at all painful so i cannot compare the two pains. i believe the amount of pain after major surgery varies greatly from patient ot patient.
