intense itching on legs

I am 5 months pregnant and started having intese itching on my legs, below the knee. When I scratch it brings up little bumps. There is no redness (except from scratching) I have not changed soaps, lotions etc. The itching seems to be worse at night, and nothing has relieved it. I have a call into my Dr. but was wondering if anyone has any ideas?
