hi there. post-partum depression is very common and can last for months. i just saw a quote in newsweek in relation to a british study done that seemed to demonstrate that it could be worse than many doctors believe. if this is your first child it could be related to the stress of having a new baby and not feeling prepared. it could be some portion of the birth you are unhappy or scared of. also, when i breastfed my son for six months i had little interst in sex. had only a day or two of 'baby blues,' but sex just wasn't something i was interested in. of course, my marriage was falling apart and that might have had a little to do with it also!

hang in there. find someone non-judgemental to talk with and if it gets really bad talk to doc about medication.
