Re: laparoscopy and D&C

On the ultrasound (at 5.5 weeks lmp)they described a "pseudosac" in my
uterus as well as a mass near my right ovary (which was later wrongly
diagnosed as a right tubal ectopic). I had many signs of pregnancy
(nausea, bloating, backache) and my hCG levels were rising normally.
After the MTX, which was administered at 6 weeks lmp, my hCG levels
"plateaued" (18000, 16600 and 17000) and that's why we decided to do the
laparoscopy a week and half later (where they found nothing but a cyst
on my right ovary). I just don't understand where this pregnancy was
and if that "mass" was not product of conception...what could it
possibly be? I am so confused. I just need some answers in order to be
able to deal with this loss. What do you think could have happened?
Have you ever heard of a case similar to this before? Where could I get
more information, aside from my obgyn?
