The following things work on a variety of patients -

Multiple small meals so you're never full BUT never empty

Meals heavier in carbohydrates

Ginger root 250 mg 4 times a day

Vitamin B6 50 mg twice a day

Acupressure band on the wrist at just the right spot

And, last but not least, there are medications if the above doesn't work. BTW, TUMS are usually fine, even in slightly higher doses.
