pregnancy and endoFrom: Ann (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 6 Mar 2000 07:01:29 -0600 (CST)
I am 24 years old, and was diagnosed in early January with endometriosis. My doctor says she "thinks" that I have endo becuase of my symptoms which include occasional painful intercourse, painful periods and the sonogram which reveals nodules on the outside of my uterus and inflammed right ovary. I was wondering if I should go ahead and insist on a Laproscopy to confirm if it is endo? Since, we have found out this devastating news, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant. I have always been on a 28 day cycle, (I started my period on Feb. 2) but currently my period is 6 days late and I have had mild cramping for four days straight. I have never had an irregular period and this would be a first. Also, during the second day of cramping I had one pale pink drop in my painties, but no sign of menstrual blood. I took a pregnancy test on Saturday and Sunday, but both tests came out negative. Am I jumping the gun in thinking that I am pregnant or do you think that the endo is causing an irregular cycle?
