ultrasound diagnosis?From: gary (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 Feb 2000 22:05:43 -0600 (CST)
My wife and I are having our first baby and we just recently had our first ultrasound done. She is fifteen weeks along. The diagnosis from the radiologists was puzzling to our OBGYN, he commented to us that in his thirty years of experience he has never seen anything like it before. The diagnosis was that there was an isolated amount of fluid located in the fetus around the left side of the chest cavity. He also said that there does not seem to be any other sign of abnormalities, and that the heart size and other vital organs seem to be developing at a normal healthy rate. Any advice , or even relatively related experiences would be of great interest to my wife and I. Thank you!!!!! Sincerely, Father to be. Gary
