Contractions at 28 weeks...

I am now 28 weeks, and have been having contractions off and on since my 20th week. They were never regular or painful until last night, when they became very uncomfortable and were about 3-4 minutes apart. They lasted for about 2 hours and then just went away. I'm in the military and have no one doctor that I see at each appointment, just whoever happens to be there at the National Naval Medical Center (I'm in the Army). I called their advice line, and they said not to be concerned about it. This is my first pregnancy and I can't help but worry, especially when I read about preterm labor. Should I schedule an appointment even though they said not to worry?
