Sleepless Nights (what else is new?!)From: PK (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 Feb 2000 00:10:16 -0600 (CST)
I am in my 34th week, and once again, complaining about lack of sleep. It is becoming an impossibility and an anxiety that I can't help. Here's my problem: I sleep on my left side, uncomfortably, but at least if I can sleep worry free I wouldn't care as much. The problem is that when I am sleeping on my left side, my baby's body is completely tucked in that side, and I cannot imagine how that can be safe and comfortable for a helpless little human being! Should I sleep on a reclining chair for the upcoming month? Please, maybe a fellow woman can help with some advice!!! I am constantly worried about the baby's well being when I feel his body thrown aside like that. I can see all sorts of dangerous things that can happen to him. Doctor Harvey, please forgive me if I bothered you with this once before, but if you don't want to answer, just don't. Let someone else answer to me - preferably a woman who has had experience with this sort of thing during her pregnancy - BTW I already spoke to my OB about my concerns, but he says not to worry, of course. Thanks
