safe medications?From: nb (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 28 Feb 2000 21:01:27 -0600 (CST)
I am 21wks. into my pregnancy. I was recently perscribed terazol(terconazole) for a yeast infection and rectasol(hydrocortisone acetate, 25mg suppositories) for hemorrhoids. After reading the inserts both medications mention CAUTION during pregnancy, "no long term studies,an increase in fetal abnormalities, and should only be used if the potential benefits justifies the risk to the fetus." I am very worried and have tried natural methods like increasing fiber and yogurt. Could either one of these problems harm myself or my baby? Should I take these medications and can you suggest anything safier?
