Hi Mary. I had 2 D&Cs last year, and both experiences were different. However, the 2nd one sounds a lot like what you are experiencing. I bled for about 5 days, like a period, then spotted and cramped on and off for about 3 weeks. During that 3 weeks, I'd stop for about 3 to 5 days, then start again. It got very annoying, that is for sure! At about 5 weeks, after being spot-free for 2 weeks, I had a period. It wasn't very heavy since I'd spotted for so long, but it lasted about 4 days. From then on, I didn't spot any more. Just had regular cycles.

Hope that eases your mind!
