Individual HCG levels are a notoriously poor predictor of gestational age, because the range of normal is enormous. A better way of using them is to get 2 separate values 48 hours apart. The relative change between the 2 provides good quality information about the condition of the pregnancy. Your previous miscarriage has understandably caused you anxiety about this one. Hang in there. In the end, a little time will likely provide you reassurance.
